“If erudition + technicality (the architect) was the heart of the” Sustainable City “and technology (engineering) in one of the” Smart City “, a new typology is sketched in the history of urban approaches, whose midlife is the entrepreneurial figure. it will be called “Sharing City,” “Co-City” or “City of the Third Industrial Revolution” ... in any case, this paradigm shift may wll rehabilitate the continent, if it spends vernacularity in it.

Since 2012, we have launched ‘African HubCity’ utopia to anticipate and inspire this shift. “Sename Koffi Agbodjinou.

HubCity is an alternative planning experience with the ambition to think the ideal African city around an innovation network sites (tech-hubs, makerspace, grassroots incubators) and transform it with the projects that come out. WoeLab the first space configured in this logic has led to 11 business ideas. Three of them preoccupy us this summer. 3 multidisciplinary teams (designers, dev, makers, architects, agronomists, planners, commercial, or any senior startuper amateur …) will try out ‘Woebots, Urbanattic and scope of WoeLAB to see how these startups can actually impact the city. The experiment will use a radius of 1km around WoeLab … After a first series of 3 ArchiCamps (2012- 13 -14) to imagine what form should have the innovative places in Africa; this is a new round of three camps that opens this summer and whose objective is to devote entrepreuneuriat as production category the city of tomorrow.
